The principle of sowing and reaping reminds us that what we consistently plant into our lives and relationships will eventually produce a harvest. Instead of expecting to receive what we have never sown, we should intentionally sow the things we want to see grow, such as forgiveness, encouragement, and God’s Word. We must stop sowing judgment and condemnation and learn to examine our own hearts before focusing on the faults of others. In our relationships, releasing control to God allows us to focus on encouraging rather than criticizing or controlling others. God gives us the freedom to choose what we sow, but our choices will still produce consequences. Sow according to God’s Word, patiently wait on the harvest, and trust Him with the results.
