Psalm 90:16-17 (NRSV) “Let your work be manifest to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands— O prosper the work of our hands!” I love this verse in Psalm 90, and I am praying it over our church now.
Most people think the favor of God is only for a select few, but that’s not true. It’s for you if you know Jesus. When we find Jesus (He finds us), we find favor!
God’s favor is when God takes the natural and does the supernatural in a person, place, or thing. It can be little or big but it’s always to bring honor and glory to God and further His Kingdom, not simply to favor the person, place, or thing!
Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV “Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.
Philippians 2:13 TLB “For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey him, and then helping you do what he wants.” God is working in your life, molding your life.
Life is a Process Proverbs 21:31 NKJV The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord.” If you want the last half of your life to be the best half, you have to be prepared to work through the stages of life.
Luke 6:38 NKJV
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
When we learn God’s purpose and plan for our life, we get to experience the power to carry it out.
Acts 6:1-4 NKJV Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
