John 4:23-24, NKJV “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Some of the best worship is when your spirit confirms God’s Truth. Distractions are not so much accidents as actions by the enemy to distract and disrupt us from worship.
Don’t allow your spirit to become critical, thereby lowering or possibly blocking your receptivity to God’s Word. Don’t allow your preferences to rob God’s presence. Don’t compare your Pastor to the dozens of other communicators. Don’t think about all the other people who need to hear the sermon until it has changed you first.
Focus on the message, not the messenger. Listen for insight more than entertainment. Make it an act of worship more than education. Information without transformation = Judgement
Engage in the moment spiritually, rather than remaining unattached.
