Genesis 2:18, NKJV “And the Lord said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.’”

The family was God’s idea. Because it was God’s idea, it will always be around.

"You were created with the need for deep relationships and caring for people in your life."

The family is a place to weather the storms together. If you don’t learn to weather the storms together, your relationships will wither.

The family is to be a place of refuge. If the family is not a place of refuge, those within the family will feel rejected and often look for refuge in the wrong places. Storms will come; the difference is who you allow going through them with you.

Matthew 7:24-27, NKJV “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
