What Do You Want Your Legacy to Be?

Matthew 6:33-34, NKJV “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

"Once you know what you want to be remembered for, it’s no longer about what you want to do."

  • Don’t be remembered for your career, but your character or rewards in heaven.
  • Don’t be remembered for your career, but your contribution to God’s Kingdom.
  • Don’t be remembered for your career, but choices furthering God’s Kingdom.

Bring honor and glory to God in your Legacy:

Know God’s Word to make those day-to-day choices.

Love and obey His Word. The more of His Word you know, the more of Him you know and love.

John 1:1, NKJV “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

God’s Word Will:

Lead to salvation. (1 Peter 1:23, NKJV)

Guide steps. (Psalm 119:105, NKJV)

Lift burdens. (Psalm 119:28, TLB)

Bring Joy. (Jeremiah 15:16, NLT2)

The Challenge:

  • What better choices can you make today that will make your legacy last? Would it be to go to the right places? Be with the right people? Do the right things? What do these things look like in your life?
