We beg you, our friends, to pay proper respect to those who work among you, who guide and instruct you in the Christian life. Treat them with the greatest respect and love because of the work they do. Be at peace among yourselves. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

God wants us to show the proper respect to those over us. God is a God of order and respect. One of the greatest problems in America today is lack of respect for authority. If you learn to respect the
position (even when there’s time you may not respect the person) you will begin to enjoy peace with God and peace with those over you.

How can we show respect that brings peace with God and those over us?

• Show gratitude.
• Do what you say and do what your asked.
• Don’t be judgmental.
• Be polite.

Prayer: “Father, help me to show respect to those over me and those who are teaching and leading me as a way of showing You respect.  In Jesus Name, Amen.”
