Pastor James Greer

The Holy Spirit's power is God's divine strength at work within every believer, enabling us to live beyond our own abilities. Through the Holy Spirit, we receive the courage to share the gospel, the wisdom to make godly decisions, the strength to overcome temptation, and the ability to serve others with spiritual gifts. His power transforms our hearts, produces Christlike character, and equips us to accomplish God's purpose, reminding us that lasting spiritual impact comes not through human effort, but through God's power working in us.

Being led by the Holy Spirit means allowing God to direct your thoughts, decisions, and actions according to His Word and His will. As you walk closely with Christ through prayer, Scripture, and obedience, the Holy Spirit provides wisdom, discernment, conviction, and guidance for every season of life. Rather than relying on your own understanding, you learn to trust God's leading, knowing He faithfully guides you toward His purpose, strengthens your faith, and empowers you to live in a way that honors Him.

Feeding the Holy Spirit means intentionally nurturing your relationship with God by filling your heart and mind with the things that honor Him. While the Holy Spirit does not need to be fed, we grow in His influence as we spend time in prayer, study God's Word, worship, obey His leading, and remain connected to Christ. As we consistently choose what strengthens our faith over what feeds our sinful nature, we become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit's guidance, allowing Him to transform our character and empower us to live for God's glory.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit means living under God's influence, presence, and power each day. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to grow in Christ, understand God's Word, overcome temptation, and boldly live out their faith. As we continually surrender to God through prayer, obedience, worship, and dependence on Him, the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts, produces spiritual fruit, and equips us to fulfill God's purpose with wisdom, courage, and love.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit begins with surrendering your life completely to Jesus Christ and inviting Him to lead every area of your life. As you daily seek God through prayer, spend time in His Word, walk in obedience, and confess sin, you create space for the Holy Spirit to work powerfully within you. Being filled with the Spirit is not a one-time event but a continual dependence on God's presence, allowing Him to guide your decisions, transform your character, produce spiritual fruit, and empower you to live boldly for His glory.

The real enemy is not the people around us but the spiritual forces that seek to draw us away from God and His truth. Satan works through deception, temptation, fear, division, and lies to weaken our faith and distract us from God's purpose. Through Jesus Christ, believers have victory over the enemy by standing firm in God's Word, relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, and putting on the full armor of God. As we remain rooted in Christ, we can recognize the enemy's schemes and respond with faith, truth, prayer, and unwavering trust in God.

To pray, "Let the Spirit of the Lord be upon me," is to ask God to fill your life with the presence, power, and guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is a desire to be empowered to live faithfully, love others well, boldly share the gospel, and accomplish the purpose God has prepared for you. As the Holy Spirit rests upon you, He provides wisdom, strength, discernment, and courage, enabling you to reflect Christ and serve Him with confidence each day.

The Spirit of the Lord is the presence and power of God at work in the lives of His people. The Holy Spirit guides us into truth, convicts us of sin, comforts us in times of need, and empowers us to live according to God's will. As we surrender to Him, the Spirit transforms our hearts, produces spiritual fruit, equips us for service, and gives us the strength to faithfully follow Jesus each day.

Fasting on purpose with a purpose means intentionally setting aside something meaningful to seek God with a clear spiritual focus. Biblical fasting is more than going without food—it's a deliberate act of worship that humbles our hearts, strengthens our dependence on God, and aligns our lives with His will. Whether you're seeking wisdom, breakthrough, repentance, or a deeper relationship with Christ, fasting with purpose helps eliminate distractions so you can hear God's voice more clearly and pursue His plans with greater faith and obedience.
