1 Corinthians 2:9 AMP but just as it is written [in Scripture], “Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].

John 16:33 NKJV
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Psalm 90:16-17 NRSV) “Let your work be manifest to your servants and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands— O prosper the work of our hands!” I wanted to finish this devotion with the verses I started with because they mean so much to me.

Proverbs 24:16 (NIV) “For though a righteous man falls (if the man or woman with favor added jwg) seven times, he rises again.” We are righteous because of what Jesus did for us! Just because we have the favor of God does not mean we will not fall, but it does mean we will not stay down! Because of God’s favor, God lifts us back up at our lowest point in life only to give us a new launching pad or a new start. God’s words tell us you can’t keep the righteous down. This means we will have failures, but our failures are unlike non-Christians who have no hope. Your hope is not in man, job, people, places, or things, but in the Lord.
